Riley Higby grew up on a commercial cattle operation in western Idaho. His interest in both agriculture and economics led him to pursue a degree at the University of Idaho, where he was a member of Farmhouse Fraternity. At the University of Idaho, Riley earned his Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Agricultural Economics, as well as a minor in accounting. During his time at U of I, Mr. Higby was an intern with the Livestock Marketing Information Center (LMIC), studying cow-calf economics and management information systems. While in graduate school, he surveyed Pacific Northwest apple production. His work focused on an economic analysis of apple production, as well as the impact of specific management practices.
Riley is located in the Pacific Northwest office, which is located in American Falls, Idaho. During his time at Lookout Ridge Consulting he has been engaged in consulting roles that include financial analysis, succession, human resources development, mergers and acquisitions, and management consulting for agribusinesses and production agriculture operations.
When not working with agribusinesses and farm families, Riley enjoys outdoor activities, especially golfing. He is also involved in Lions Club and the local FFA chapter.
