Matthew Oesch brings to Lookout Ridge Consulting (formerly Salisbury Management Services) more than 10 years of experience in dairy production. As a key member of the management team on a large progressive dairy farm in western Michigan, he contributed to the effective strategic positioning of the dairy through development and implementation of proactive nutrient management strategies, nutrient outflow budgeting, and soil nutrient monitoring. Through his leadership and diligence the dairy was able to successfully overcome the environmental regulations compliance and community perception challenges that accompany large CAFO status.

In addition, Matthew was employed with Caledonia Farmers Elevator as an Agronomy Sales Intern. He gained valuable knowledge and experience in crop production in areas such as seed variety selection, integrated pest management, and soil nutrient management.

Matthew graduated with High Honors from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Agribusiness Management, where he received the Academic Excellence Award in Agribusiness Management. Matthew was also a member of the team representing Michigan State University at the North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge for 2007, where his team received a Gold Award. He has also received an Associates of Arts degree from Grand Rapids Community College with a focus in Business Administration. He has a deep passion and inspiring vision to ensure the continued profitability and competitiveness of agricultural producers in North America.
