Through his years in both the private and public sector, Al Bennett brings practicality, experience, and “tools” from the workplace to the field of consulting. He spent 23 years as President of Bennett Farms, Inc., ten years as an elected official, and ten years as a MN Rule 114 mediator.

Al was born and raised on a family farm that expanded to a 1000-acre cash-grain corporation known for its forward-thinking and focus on quality. Having a passion for negotiation and conflict resolution, Al left the business of farming in 2000 to travel and work with families experiencing change.

Al graduated with honors from Minnesota State University- Mankato in 1978. He’s received training in the field of mediation from University of North Dakota, Hamline University-St Paul, and Center for Dispute Resolution in Boulder, CO. Most recently, Al has been qualified as an arbitrator by the MN Supreme Court, adding to his neutral roster listings in civil and family law mediation. Al is a member of the Family Firm Institute, the Association for Conflict Resolution, and the Minnesota State Bar Association.
