Mark began his career at Lookout Ridge Consulting as a Family Business Succession Intern, working in the Michigan office, prior to graduating from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Food Business Management.
At Lookout Ridge Consulting, Mark brings expertise in business process improvement, financial consulting, and business monitoring. He has a strong passion to help agriculture businesses prosper and grow for the future. This passion grew at an early age as he was actively involved in 4-H, FFA, and his family’s 4th generation diversified crop and livestock farm located in southwest Minnesota.
Mark served 6 years in the Army, National Guard where he did a tour in Baghdad, Iraq, for Operation Iraqi Freedom III. While serving, Mark felt one of his biggest accomplishments was being able to assist Iraq in holding its first free election in 50 years.
Other Job experience includes working for Minnesota Soybean Processors as a marketing intern, where his main responsibility was to originate soybeans from elevators and farmers for the production of soybean meal, oil, and hulls at a plant with the production capacity of 100,000 bushels/day.
Mark enjoys spending time with his family and friends, downhill skiing, and traveling to other countries and events to learn new things about agriculture.
